Parking Minimums

Parking minimums perpetuate inequality, continue incentivizing and subsidizing private car ownership, pave over green space, and harm our cities in so many other ways. In December 2020, Safe Streets Advocates hosted an event with Luke Reynolds from Desegregate CT, Aaron Gill from Hartford’s Zoning and Planning Committee (Hartford ended parking minimums and instituted maximums), and Anika Singh Lemar from Yale Law School’s Community and Economic Development clinic to discuss parking minimums. You can watch a recording of the event below.
